Our commitment to child safety
At Woori Yallock Junior Football Club, the safety and wellbeing of every child and young person is a priority.
We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children and young people feel respected, supported and able to enjoy their football.
Our Child Safety Officer (CSO) is a key point of contact for child safety matters within the club. The CSO supports the club in meeting its child safety responsibilities and ensuring our policies and practices align with the Victorian Child Safe Standards and relevant child safety requirements.
The Child Safety Officer is also available to receive concerns, complaints or reports relating to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people and will ensure these are handled appropriately, respectfully and confidentially.
Child safety is everyone's responsibility
Creating a child-safe club takes all of us. We ask everyone in the Woori Yallock Junior Football Club community - including players, coaches, team managers, volunteers, parents, carers and supporters - to help create an environment where children feel safe, valued and heard.
We all have a responsibility to speak up if we see, hear or become aware of behaviour or circumstances that may affect the safety or wellbeing of a child or young person.
By working together, we can ensure child safety remains an important and visible part of our club culture.
Report a concern or incident
If you see, hear or experience something that causes concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child or young person at our club, we encourage you to report it.
Concerns may relate to something you have witnessed, something a child has disclosed, inappropriate behaviour, bullying, harassment, or any other situation that makes you concerned for a child's safety or wellbeing.
You can provide details to the club's Child Safety Officer so the matter can be responded to appropriately.
